It’s still bloody cold but we are managing to do most deliveries, as long as they’re not on a steep hill or isolated road. Our drivers have been doing really well and know what roads are still too dangerous to go up so let us know how the conditions are on your own road when you order.

We’re one driver down today due to the ice (he can’t get out his own driveway!) but, deliveries will still be happening in a limited fashion on Saturday 9th Jan. Please help us out by letting us know the conditions of your road and if necessary, the best route to access it.

In some cases, we may have to meet you at the bottom or top of your street where it connects with one of the main roads. We’ll discuss this with you at the time of your order once we get your address. Our drivers have been all over Lancaster the past week so they have a very good idea where they can and can’t get to.

We will be only delivering to the main roads in Lancaster today, all side roads are still a nightmare! We may be able to deliver to side roads if you can meet the driver where your road joins the main road. This applies to Bowerham road, ashton road, scottforth road, main road Calgate, morecambe road, torrisholme and slyne road.

Ready for slippy slippy crunch crash?

Another day where deliveries have been called off! So sorry but there’ll only be collection and takeaway orders tonight!

It doesn’t look good for the rest of the week either, temperatures down as low as -7 means that the ice that is there now, aint goin nowhere!

Keep checking back to see if we are making deliveries or not (or see if we buy a snowmobile!)

We are trying to do some deliveries tonight, you can help us by taking a look out of your window before ordering. If you wouldn’t want to drive your car on the street you live in, you shouldn’t order for a delivery!

If you live on a main road or very near to one then our driver might be able to deliver to you. Please let us know the conditions in your area, especially if you live at the bottom of a steep ice covered hill

Deliveries are expected to start from 6pm, hopefully all those folks driving home after work will warm the main streets enough to drive on.. here’s hoping!

Deliveries for Tuesday 5th Jan 2010 are off today. Only collection and takeaway orders.

Wednesday looks like it might have bright skies with the South of England getting the heavy snow falls so hopefully this is just a single day affair. Check back tomorrow to see if we’re stopping deliveries again.
